SSC CGL 2017 Eligibility Criteria
- Age of candidate should be 20 to 30 years. Age relaxation is provided to reserved category as per the Government rule.
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
SSC CGL 2017 Application Fee
- Candidates can submit fee thru SBI challan/net banking and debit/credit card.
- Candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs. 100.
- Female, SC/ST, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen candidates no need to pay any application fee.
Payment of SSC CGL 2017 Application Fee: Candidates can pay the application fee online though SBI net banking or cash through SBI bank challan.
Offline mode:
- After completion of part I registration, take a print out of the challan generated online.
- Deposit the fee in any branch of State Bank of India.
Online mode:
- Through online mode, pay the application fee in the part II registration.
- Through SBI net banking or any other credit/debit card, the application fee can be paid.

- Tier I is a written exam containing only objective multiple choice type questions.
- The Tier II is also a written exam containing only objective multiple choice type questions.

- The Staff Selection has reduced the number of questions from 200 to 100 in CGL Tier 1 exam. The test is conducting in online mode and candidates would get 60 minutes of time. However, For VH and candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy will be provided 80 minutes of time.

There will be four sections of Tier 1 exam including General Intelligence and Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English Comprehension. There will be 100 questions of 200 marks.Tier 2 SyllabusTier 2 will be also an objective type test which will be conducted in online mode. The exam will consist of 100 questions out of 200 marks from Quantitative Abilities, Statistics, English Language and Comprehension & General Studies (Finance & Economics).Tier 3 SyllabusTier 3 will be basically a descriptive test conducted in order to test the written skills of applicants in Hindi/English. In this test, candidates will be asked to write Letter/Essay/Application/Precis. If you want to prepare for Tier 3 exam effectively then the best way is reading article published in the newspaper.Tier 4 SyllabusTier 4 will consist of a couple of skill test that will be required for few government posts. Details are given below: - Data Entry Speed Test (DEST): Data Entry Speed Test is conducted in order to verify the typing speed of the candidates. Candidates will be given a printer matter in English what exactly they need to type on a computer. The speed should be at least 200 key depressions in 15 minutes.
