  • A candidate must be either:
  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who is an Indian who came over to India with the intention of permanently residing in Indiabefore the 1st January, 1962, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. The candidates belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) should be able to produce a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit:-


The minimum Age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 year as per the date of eligibility. Age relaxation is provided to various categories. Government employees from a listed category will get 5 years, SC/ST will get 5 Years, 3 years for OBC,5 years for domiciled candidatesin the State of Jammu & Kashmir,3 years for disabled defence service personnel, 5 years for ex-service men and 10 years for handicapped persons. 
Educational Qualification:-
The candidate must have obtained an Engineering degree from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or
  • Passed Section A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India); or
  • Obtained a degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution and under such conditions as may be recognized by the Government for the purpose from time to time, or
  • Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India); or
  • Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; or
  • Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959.
Group B:-

Group B are positions which normally got promoted from Group C after a particular period of service done by the employee in Group C.

Group C

The Group C is divided in to two categories such as Technical Cadres and Non-Technical Cadres. 
Technical Cadres: -Includes vacancies in the field of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Signal and Telecommunication, etc. 
Age Limit: - The minimum age is 18 year and the maximum age limit is 33 years. The candidates falling under special categories gets age relaxation such as 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC and so on.

Educational Qualification:-The candidates should have passed X standard or SSC or equivalent examination with 50% marks in their academics and possessing ITI or Diploma or a candidates with a pass in BE or B Tech from any recognized Board / University or College approved by Govt. of India are eligible to apply.


Non-Technical Cadres:-

Age Limit: - The Non-Technical Cadres includes vacancies such as Clerks, Assistant Station Masters, Ticket Collectors, Trains Clerks, Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, etc. 
Age Limit: -The minimum age is 18 year and the maximum age limit is 30 years. Age relaxation will be provided as per the rules and regulations by Government of India for various cadres such as SC/St, OBC etc.
Educational Qualification: -The educational qualification varies from post to post in this category. Some demands a pass in Matriculation / Intermediate from recognized Board along with typing skills in English/Hindi on Computer/Typewriter. Some positions requires respective graduation from recognized 

60, 000 Railway jobs latest news

According to the latest news of Railway jobs, Pradeep Kumar of Railway Board Member said that now onwards all the examinations conducted by Railway Recruitment Board will be in online mode. The facility to conduct the examinations in online was implemented in 4 railway recruitment Board’s presently. The examination which will be going to conduct in October month for 2000 Railway jobs for Engineers conducted in Online only. If the process works accurately, the system of online examinations will be implemented in Group D examinations and all other examination conducted by railway. Candidates who were searching for and who are sincerely preparing for the jobs can use this Indian Railway Recruitment 2015-16. After the Railway recruitment 2015 for Engineers in Pilot project over, the process of 60, 000 will be started.
